As we enter the darkest week of the year, the world around us begins to whisper a different pace.
The days shorten.
The night deepens.
The air stills.
The Winter Solstice reminds us that stillness is sacred — not empty, not barren, but rich, fertile, and full of quiet potential.
This is the time of year when nature draws inward.
Seeds rest beneath the frozen ground.
Animals burrow into warmth.
Trees conserve their energy.
Winter is not a pause from life —
it is life preparing itself.
And the same is true for us.
🌙 Why This Week Feels So Deep
During Solstice Week, you may notice:
- a craving for rest
- emotional tenderness
- lower energy
- old patterns rising
- a desire for warmth or comfort
- heightened intuition
- a feeling of being “between seasons”
All of this is natural.
All of this is seasonal.
All of this is wisdom.
And this year, something especially potent is layered into the Solstice energy:
✨ A New Moon on December 19
A New Moon in the same week as the longest night creates a kind of double darkness — a profoundly fertile time for:
- releasing what’s complete
- resetting your emotional system
- listening inward
- tending to your inner light
- allowing new beginnings to form quietly
This is not a moment for pushing forward.
It’s a moment for softening, listening, and letting go.
🕯️ Stillness Is Not Emptiness — It’s Fertile
I used to hate winter.
The cold, the darkness, the slow pace — none of it felt natural to me.
I wanted more light, more movement, more doing.
But over the years, something shifted.
I learned to honor what I actually need in this season.
Warmth. Softness. Gentler light.
More rest. Fewer demands.
And slowly, I began to see winter differently.
Winter isn’t empty.
It’s creative.
It’s a womb of possibility.
Now I celebrate the Solstice.
I cherish the shortest day for the way it invites me inward.
I honor winter as a teacher — a guide into intuition, deep rest, and quiet becoming.
Winter became a companion.
🌑 A Solstice + New Moon EFT Release Practice
This gentle practice is designed to support release, regulation, and quiet renewal during this powerful week.
⭐ Round One — Releasing Resistance
Tune into your body and ask softly:
“Where do I feel resistance to letting go?”
Wherever your awareness lands is perfect.
Setup Statement (Side of Hand, 3 times):
“Even though I feel this resistance in my body, I choose to love, honor, and support myself through this.”
Now tap through the points, letting your breath lead:
- Top of Head
- Eyebrow
- Side of Eye
- Under Eye
- Under Nose
- Chin
- Collarbone
- Under Arm
At each point:
Slow inhale for 6 seconds, slow exhale for 6 seconds.
No words are necessary.
Just notice the sensation and your breath.
Pause.
Take another full breath.
⭐ Round Two — Welcoming Compassion + Quiet Renewal
Tune back in.
Notice what’s still present — or what has shifted.
Setup Statement (Side of Hand, 3 times):
“Even though there may still be some resistance, I’m open to welcoming compassion.”
As you tap through the points again, allow these themes to drift through your awareness:
- softening
- spaciousness
- compassion
- fertile darkness
- gentle becoming
- allowing instead of forcing
A guiding phrase, if helpful:
“It’s safe to soften.”
or
“I make room for what is quietly growing.”
⭐ Closing — Heart + Eyebrow (Third Eye) Tapping
This final round supports integration between compassion and intuition.
Tap gently on your heart or collarbone with one hand,
and on the eyebrow (third eye) point with the other.
As you tap, affirm softly:
“I release anything standing in the way of letting go of what no longer serves me…”
“…and I make room for what is quietly forming within me…”
“…in this season of stillness… in this fertile, sacred dark.”
Take one long inhale.
One slow, gentle exhale.
Let your body settle.
🌞 The Solstice Turning Point
On December 21, we honor the longest night — the sacred turning point where the earth begins her slow return toward the light.
The days lengthen gradually, beginning the following morning.
So subtly, you may barely notice at first.
And that is the teaching.
You don’t need clarity yet.
You don’t need answers.
You don’t need to bloom.
Winter asks only that you trust the unseen —
and honor the becoming.
🌿 Reflection Prompts for Solstice Week
- What am I ready to release?
- Where does my body need more warmth or rest?
- What feels like it’s quietly growing within me?
- What can I soften instead of push?
- How can I honor my own inner seasons?
Let the answers unfold slowly.
Winter rewards patience.
